Korwa Dongtruk (Shaker of Saṃsāra from Its Depths) is a teaching of Guru Rinpoche revealed in a terma treasure by the great tertön, Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa. Compiled by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the sādhana, entitled “All-pervading Benefit,” is a practice of Red Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezik).
This profound practice of red Avalokiteshvara is performed to benefit those who have passed away. This visualization and mantra recitation also benefits families and relatives of the deceased. It prepares the practitioner for the crucial moment of passing into the transitional moment of the bardo of death.
Phakchok Rinpoche has offered teachings on the bardos that are available on Samye Institute’s YouTube channel.
