Marcela Lopez completed a degree in Psychology in 2004 and trained as a translator in 2007. She has studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism since 2000, and in 2006 she met Phakchok Rinpoche, her main teacher. She lived in Nepal from 2011 until 2019, where she received teachings on Buddhist philosophy, Tibetan language and sadhana practice within the Chokling Tersar Tradition in Rangjung Yeshe Institute and in programs organized by Samye Institute. She continues her studies online.
