    2018 International Sangha Yogi Ordinations & Samaya Training

    Last year, our Thai sangha who wished to benefit all sentient beings in memory of their beloved late King had requested Kyabgon Phakchok Rinpoche for a Yogi Ordination and Samaya training to deepen their spiritual practice.
    Auspiciously this Guru Rinpoche day, Rinpoche in finding the training to have been extremely beneficial to the Sangha, has kindly opened the Yogi Ordination and Samaya Training to the International Sangha this coming February 1-13, 2018 at Asura Cave, Nepal.
    Students who have taken on the yogi ordination will be taught to observe on the 14 Root Samaya Vows and the Five Precepts as part of the program. This program is most suitable for students who would like to deepen their spiritual practice and are ready to commit and observe the samayas.

    Program

    The space at Asura Cave accommodates up to 50 participants. To date, 30 seats are available.

    Preliminary Schedule:

    Feb 1   Arrive in Nepal.
    Beginning of Program:
    Feb 2 Travel to Nagi Gompa and receive blessings.
    Feb 3 Travel to Asura cave / Orientation by Phakchok Rinpoche at Asura cave
    Feb 4-11 Samaya Vows Taking – Meditation and Practice at Asura Cave and Teaching sessions by Rinpoche
    Feb 12 Dana Offering and Lunch at Chapagon Monastery
    End of Program:
    Feb 13 Depart Nepal (option to extend for Tibetan New Year celebrations)

    1. INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS

    The cost for this 12-day program covers yogi robes, meals, accommodation (from February 1 to 12) and transport at 18,000 Baht / USD 600. Fees do not include air ticket, visa, airport transfer or stay extensions.

    11:00 am – 12:00 pm Orientation by Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche
    12:00 pm – 01:30 pm Lunch break
    01:30 pm – 04:00 pm Receive Yogi Ordination and the Five Precepts
    05:00 pm – 07:00 pm Dinner break
    07:00 pm – 08:30 pm Meditation Session

    4-10 Feb

    On 10th Feb Dakini Day, practice is replaced with Trinley Nyingpo Tsok.

    11 Feb

    After Lunch Travel to Boudhanath
    Afternoon [Optional] to join Vajrakilaya 5 Day – Gutor Puja

    12 Feb

    10:00 am – 11:30 am Travel to Chapagon Monastery
    11:30 am – 01:00 pm Dana offering & Lunch with monks at Chapagaon
    Evening [Optional] Join Vajrakilaya 5 Day – Gutor Puja

    13 February

    Depart to Bangkok.

    For those who would like to extend and experience the Tibetan New Year (Losar) from 16th to 18th February, accommodations available include the Mandala Hotel, PRK and Tara Guest Houses.
