Mahamudra Retreat: A Doorway to Prajnaparamita in 8000 Lines

Prajnaparamita, the Perfection of Wisdom, is hailed as the mother of all buddhas, the precious source from which we awaken to our true nature. The Buddha’s elucidation of this wisdom can be found in the 8000-line Prajnaparamita Sutra, one of the most essential embodiments of the Mahayana perspective. In this retreat, Phakchok Rinpoche will draw upon the Buddha’s own words to point us toward this wisdom of emptiness, which is the basis for the meditative approach of Mahamudra.
This weekend retreat will offer both sitting meditation practice and learning sessions, with morning retreat periods followed by afternoon sessions of instruction. Through this approach, practitioners will have ample opportunity to integrate the insights offered by the Buddha into their life, so that we may better embody this path both on and off the cushion.
