In your work for Phakchok Rinpoche, please state the main challenges you face.

Once we identify the challenges we can work together to find solutions.

And perhaps because of the human mind tendency to criticize everything and always see lack, can we also say what the greatest strengths are so we can share them with others who may not be aware of resources or opportunities we already have?

For example at this moment after seeing the endless difficulties with translators and the loss of emotion and meaning from Tibetan, I am really appreciating that Phakchok Rinpoche speaks English well and teaches in English.

Very good point. It’s true we too often have a tendency to focus on the negative.

I think you should start a fresh thread asking this question from a positive angle.

Greatest strengths: Very committed hardworking group of regular mostly volunteers. English by Rinpoche. Forward movement, and good challenges, lots of new opportunities and new people joining.

Areas to work on: More full time personnel, better and stronger communication as well as implementation of ideas from central command in the individual centers and better coordination with each other, better coordination as a group rather than one on one (this website should help), no resource guides with who what when where how, not a fast enough communication flow from meetings with Rinpoche and when things or schedules change, no coordination with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche sangha organizers/translators to speak of, need people dedicated to integrating Chokling Rinpoche schedule and activities with Samye group (the only time I hear updates on Zangtok Palri is from Rinpoche), almost no coordination between Asia and Western sangha, underutilization of Gomde New York and to a less degree Gomde California, no opportunities for shedra students to join us as full time employees, need accountants to help Gem especially, dedicated translators from English and Tibetan to various languages that we need, Traveling Khenpo and Nuns to take the burden off Rinpoche, need someone dedicated to help with visas in Nepal and elsewhere, more focus on helping Taklung Kagyu lineage, etc.
