Arthur Versluis, Ph.D., is a professor and Department Chair of Religious Studies in the College of Arts & Letters at Michigan State University. Arthur has been a Dharma practitioner for many years and received teachings from all four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism, though primarily in the Kagyu-Nyingma tradition with Phakchok Rinpoche and Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche. He has been engaged in Nine Yanas under the direction of Phakchok Rinpoche from its beginning because Rinpoche provides a clear understanding of the complete Buddhist path and practice traditions in a unique and transformative way.
