    Hi JB3,

I don’t feel qualified to comment on the first part of your comment  but at the beginning of class, Jack is chanting several lineage supplications common to the Chokling Tersar, namely:  The Seven-Line Supplication, Supplication to the Nyingma Lineage Masters, Brilliant Sunlight of Threefold Devotion, and Supplication to the Root Guru.  All are available on Lhasey Lotsawa.  http://www.lhaseylotsawa.org

    Hi Andrea,

We’re working on getting those videos uploaded as fast as possible.  It takes some time to process them since they’re large files, but we will post them here very shortly.

    warmly

    Hi Lowell,

I think this is a wonderful question and it addresses a topic I’ve often wondered about myself.   I think for me, I’m trying to learn to follow my gut in terms of what I need to focus on and emphasize in my practice and trusting that instinct.   But this is different than doing whatever I want.    All of our practices are beneficial, but how do we organize ourselves when we have limited time?  For myself, I liken it to practicing anything else.  Say we love tennis or cooking, if we’re honest with ourselves we know what skills we need to work on most.  If we’re trying to become good tennis players or cooks, or in this case authentic practitioners, then from one perspective we need to do it all, and at the same time we need to see clearly where we need to train the most and be flexible about what that means.  Some days, I devote extra time to the four mind changings, some days to prostration, etc, depending on what my gut tells me is the area I most need to practice.  Not sure that helps at all, but it’s started to make a difference for me.  Cheers.

Aspiration prayers are absolutely a part of my daily practice.  I do recite prayers, but then I also add my own personal way of making aspirations for me this connects me on a deeper level to the practice and those spontaneous, personalized aspirations often feel more sincere and genuine than the ones I formally recite.  Big hug to the whole sangha!
