Since connecting with Rinpoche and this Chokling tradition I am beginning to see the relevance and importance of making aspiration prayers. It feels wonderful to be able to make an aspiration and an intention to benefit beings as we move from the meditation to post meditation state.
As for personalising them, I have mainly kept to the texts but I think it is also great to allow spontaneous prayers to manifest from our heart.

I could see how the sights,sounds,smells etc are all designed to pull you towards them. The aim is to draw you out of yourself and into an external source of pleasure. Fascinating to notice this and see how my mind is pulled towards and away from different phenomena.

Something for absolute beginners, I faciliate. Meditation classes in my home town and it would be great to use some of Rinpoche’s materials, ideas and inspiration for this. Most attending are non buddhist.
