    Welcome!

thank you very much for joining and also for all you have done and are doing for the center in Penang! It does not sound like you are so lazy,–but how about joining the Samye “Inspire Yourself” retreat–this is a great way for all of us to recharge our practice.

    Dear Shlomo,

Thanks for your speedy response.  We  will be adding those materials to the Samye site in the early fall and will be announcing improvements and resources as we roll them out.

In the meantime, if you have any specific questions about the visualization process, the ngöndro forum is the perfect place to raise them.

Warm wishes for continued success in your practice,

    Hilary

Welcome to this forum to those who are training on the Bodhisattva vehicle. Please introduce yourself with a few brief sentences so we can all get to know each other.

As you’ve been practicing in the last few months what challenges have you encountered with the practice? Has there been so!thing in your study and reflection that has been particularly inspiring or challenging?

Michal’s point about keeping a limited number of lines is really helpful!

  • Dear Shlomo,

Could you clarify your question?  When you say at the expense of  the “other practices” are  you are asking about the Dusum Sangye recitation or do you mean something else?

Rinpoche-la did say that it is okay to do the Dusum Sangye recitations while one is engaged in daily activity, such as walking about, or sitting around–commuting, for example.

You may be able to catch short periods of time when you can easily accumulate recitations if you take advantage of small openings in even a busy day.  Even such short periods are wonderful reminders of our practice!

    Dear Trey,

Thanks for your input!  We recently added a post on Wisdom Blogs https://samyeinstitute.org/wisdom/sang-puja-cleansing-offering/  that gives some more detail on the Sang offering.  We will also be adding some specific teachings on the practice in the near future–so please keep checking back in.

    Best wishes,

    The Samye Team

    Hi Shlomo,

You should have received recently an email announcing the upcoming video Q&A with Phakchok Rinpoche regarding ngöndro . If you have any questions regarding your practice that you would like to ask Rinpoche directly, please submit them on the ngöndro forum or by replying to the email. We will be selecting a number of questions, so this is a great opportunity!

    Warm wishes,

    Hilary

    Hi Paul,

Welcome to the Samye platform; we are happy to have you on board.  We would encourage you to continue attending the NYC meetings as having a close sangha support can be truly beneficial.  During the recent Dawn of Dharma retreat in Cooperstown, Rinpoche kept emphasizing the importance of gathering together and sharing experience and understanding.

It is great that you are already making use of the General Student Forum; we will keep posting updates and questions from the retreat to keep  everyone engaged!

    Welcome again!

    Hilary

    Hi Craig,

we look forward to welcoming you back to Gomde New York for the Mahamudra retreat this week.  The auspicious occasion will allow you to meet Jesper Skovlund who is coordinating Dharma Stream groups and also to meet with many other leaders and organizers of Dharma Stream groups.  Their experience and insight will, I am sure, inspire you to form a local group!

Please also make use of the General Student Forum to share discussions with your fellow sangha members–we encourage you to participate frequently!

    Warm welcome!

    Hilary
