However it was very difficult to hear Rinpoche..his voice/ microphone is very low. Hopefully this can be amended. If not are there any willing vo,unteers able to transcribe his answers?
But many thanks anyway.

MemberApril 17, 2017 at 5:33 pm in reply to: Why the presence of our Lamas in the visualization? The ways Rinpoche explains and demonstrates supplication again and again has had a huge beneficial effect on my practice. Now it is incredibly meaningful and important for me to supplication the root and lineage gurus as well as Buddha’s and bodhisattvas……Now it is no longer muttering a few words that I have no connection to and understand very little. It is a living practice.

Thanks Julian, great to hear about future courses and developments. Rinpoche is so kind to provide such supportive materials for us all.
your explanation of wisdom and compassion is very helpful

Thanks for above replies. From further contemplation of the topic, the way I view it now is that everything appearing within the mind is pure and unstained…sights, sounds, sensations etc.. however dualistic mind grasps onto these and labels them in different ways..judging good, bad and ugly etc… But in their intrinsic state they are undefined and simply appearances….within the sky like mind…. Would this be closer to the View that Rinpoche is advocating?

This is very helpful, thanks I can share it with our dharma stream group this evening.

Will be interesting to see how this develops. A very creative way of introducing practices which can benefit…. I believe a book is forthcoming?

Great and timely message. I know many, including practitioners, including myself who despair at times of the things we are seeing and hearing in the world today. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. But as Eric hints at here..maybe we are that light at the end of the tunnel and by responding to events with wisdom and compassion instead of fear and judgement there is a hope, there is a way through…

Since connecting with Rinpoche and this Chokling tradition I am beginning to see the relevance and importance of making aspiration prayers. It feels wonderful to be able to make an aspiration and an intention to benefit beings as we move from the meditation to post meditation state.
As for personalising them, I have mainly kept to the texts but I think it is also great to allow spontaneous prayers to manifest from our heart.

I could see how the sights, sounds, smells etc are all designed to pull you towards them. The aim is to draw you out of yourself and into an external source of pleasure. Fascinating to notice this and see how my mind is pulled towards and away from different phenomena.

Thanks Matt. Yes I am facilitating a Dawn of Dharma / Dharma stream group here in Wales. Look forward to the other that you mention.
