As far as I know, this is the version edited by TUR and slightly extended by CNR (with two verses for refuge and bodhicitta). It was published by rangjung yeshe publications (usually with a green cover). I believe that the only difference in the concise version Phakchok Rinpoche uses is that it have refuge and bodhicitta in one verse. In practice it also means accumulating 4*100.000 instead of 5*100.000.

    Hi Paul.

    Thanks for your reply.

I did study The Great Gate, which is a wonderful commentary. However, the description of how to dissolve Vajrasattva (after oneself have become the deity) is not so detailed in the Great Gate. For this reason Erik Pema Künsang advised me to look at Patrul Rinpoches instructions for this part of the practice.

I was a bit confused by that, since the Longchen Nyingtig ngondro uses the om mani padme hung mantra (while being Vajrasattva), while we in the tukdrub ngondro just become vajrasattva, and then dissolve the deity (without visualizing syllables in the heart an so on). Have I understood it correctly?

    Best wishes, Rune

Thank you for this reply 🙂

However, it doesn’t really answer my questions.
