Phakchok Rinpoche recently met with some younger family members of the Malaysian sangha. In this recording, Rinpoche reminds us to practice recollecting the fundamental purity of our nature. Our ultimate nature is uncorrupted and incorruptible. Developing this sense of natural dignity is different from confidence, which is unstable and can be lost. In contrast, our natural dignity can never be lost or degraded.

Rinpoche discusses developing dignity in his latest book, Awakening Dignity: A Guide to Living a Life of Deep Fulfillment. In this book, Rinpoche shows how knowing that we are whole and complete already—and gaining trust and certainty in that understanding—can counteract the familiar feeling that we are not enough, and that something is missing.
