In this recording, originally made during the anniversary of the Parinirvana of the Great Tertön Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, Phakchok Rinpoche teaches on a guru supplication prayer composed by the Great Drukpa Kagyu master Götsangpa Gönpo Dorje. This profound practice evokes the guru as the embodiment of the Three Kayas, and is part of Rinpoche’s daily practice.

This teaching is part of Phakchok Rinpoche’s teaching titled “The Importance of Gurus and the Profound Guru-Disciple Relationship” which has recently been released for Samye Institute’s Vajrayana Membership. We hope that you find this teaching valuable and review the core points again and again as you develop familiarity with the practice.

You can find the text of this supplication translated into a variety of languages by our friends at Lotsawa House, where this text goes by its other common name “The Fourfold Manam Supplication.”
