Preliminary Practices from the Lamé Tukdrup Barché Künsel: Going for Refuge
Description
In this teaching, generously sponsored by Samye’s Indonesian Sangha, Drupla Sonam Tsering provides instruction and commentary to the The Four Foundations or Ngöndro practices of the Tukdrup Barché Künsel. Drupla taught on the refuge portion of the Concise Ngöndro from the Tukdrup Barché Künsel. This teaching is in Tibetan with English and Indonesian translation.
Phakchok Rinpoche emphasizes that Four Foundations practice is very important. Students usually are instructed to begin the Ngöndro after several years of daily meditation practice. Samye Institute has a course devoted to these profound practices, containing Phakchok Rinpoche’s teachings and explanations of every stage of the Ngöndro.
The Great Gate: A Guidebook to the Guru’s Heart Practice is a compilation of instructions on the preliminary practices by the great masters, Chokling Dewey Dorje, Dudjom Rinpoche, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, and Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche. It is of great benefit for any students continuing or considering beginning Ngöndro practice. Akara Collection also has a thangka depicting the Refuge Tree associated with the Preliminary Practices of the Tukdrup Barché Künsel cycle.
