Announcing a New Guru Rinpoche Pilgrimage App from Nekhor

We are pleased to launch, on this particularly auspicious Guru Rinpoché Day, the Nekhor app. “Nekhor” in Tibetan means “Circling the Sacred,” or simply “Pilgrimage,” this is exactly what this app will help you do: discover the sacred sites of Guru Padmasambhava through journeying there yourself.

The Nekhor app will help you orient yourself through accurate GPS mapping, as well to present the stories behind what makes these sites sacred. Our goal is to inspire practitioners to form an ever-stronger link to the activities of Guru Rinpoché through visiting the sites where the Mahaguru and his disciples gained accomplishment.

Though the app is still under some development, we thought it important, for the sake of making an auspicious connection, to release it to the sangha on this 10th day of the lunar calendar—the celebration of the Mahaguru’s miraculous lotus birth.

The new Nekhor pilgrimage app

To find the Nekhor app, just search “Nekhor” in your device’s app store, and download it to your phone or tablet. May it become a trusted companion to your journey!
