On this auspicious Guru Rinpoche Day, Samye Institute is delighted to announce the first new course in the Path of Transformation—the Mahamudra Level One Home Practice Program. This self-paced course offers classic, authentic instructions given by Phakchok Rinpoche and is open to all, regardless of previous experience.
Short video segments, recorded with Phakchok Rinpoche in 2024, cover every aspect of a year-long meditation program. Mahamudra teachings are unique in the gradual path of training in meditation. The instructions come from the Buddhist sutras, the oral instructions of realized practitioners, and the tantras. This integration of three sources of instructions offers a strong foundation for genuine transformation.
Phakchok Rinpoche has developed this clear and easy-to-follow program based on his experience of observing students’ progress. Throughout the course, he offers pithy instructions, always emphasizing the importance of self-observation.
Rinpoche has noted that all of his students can benefit from at least a year of formal practice according to the methods presented here.
