From the 14th to the 22nd of March, the monks of the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, held the annual Ngakso Drubchen – “Ocean of Amrita Mantric-mending”. Over the course of nine days, monastery abbot Kyabje Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and the monastery’s Vajra Master Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche, together with the monastic and lay sangha, practiced this marvelous ceremony day and night.
On the fifth day of Ngakso (Ocean of Amrita) Drubchen, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche had a teaching on the topic of impermanence and the importance of knowledge on the Three Roots: Guru, Yidam, and Dakini. Moreover. Rinpoche also gave precious advice on respecting all Dharma practitioners, fellow Vajra brothers and sisters, as well as sangha harmony.
On the final day, the Rinpoches and lamas distributed the precious siddhis and blessings accumulated by the assembly of practitioners over the many days of intensive practice.
During the Ngakso (Ocean of Amrita) Drubchen, different sangha members and groups from all over the world had the chances to make various auspicious offerings to all the monks, nuns and lay devotees at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery.
We look forward to the next year Ngakso Drubchen in 2020.
