Path of Realization: Ngöndro (Day 2)

Out of his vast kindness and compassion, Phakchok Rinpoche has designed a year long monthly teaching program that will consist of live 2-day weekend teaching events. The topics and the specific texts were specially chosen by Rinpoche to create a nurturing support system for the students and to further strengthen their knowledge and assimilation on the paths of transformation and realization.
Samye Institute is delighted to announce the next Samye Monthly Pathway Teaching, on November 16 and 17! This Pathway teaching will be on the Path of Realization, and the topic will be The Ngöndro—the gateway to the Path of Realization.
Guiding us in this profound set of practices, will be the esteemed Drupla Sonam Tsering. Drupla Sonam Tsering is one of the senior Lamas at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and has undergone the traditional three-year retreat three times.
Drupla Sonam Tsering is especially knowledgeable on the topic of the Ngöndro, and known for his very clear, profound and applicable teaching style.
Drupla Sonam Tsering will also offer the reading transmission—the Lung—for the concise Ngöndro at the end of day 2, so that one is able to begin practicing the Ngöndro after the teachings. You are then strongly encouraged to receive the Lung again as well as a Mahayoga Empowerment from Rinpoche as soon as that will be possible for you.
This weekend teaching is both for practitioners who are currently practicing the Ngondrö and for those who have not yet embarked on the Ngondrö but aspire to begin!
Samye Institute Patrons can use our practice companions for both the Concise and Extensive versions of the Tukdrup Barché Künsel Ngöndro to prepare for the teachings.
Phakchok Rinpoche is often reminding us that the Ngondrö practises are essential in order to gain certainty on the path and to open up the doors wide when entering the Path of Realization.
Please register for these teachings in advance by using the Zoom registration link below. The teachings will also be streamed on YouTube and will remain available for 24 hours. After that time, the recordings will be available for Samye Patrons on the Samye Institute website.
