Path of Transformation: Mind Training (Day 2)

Out of his vast kindness and compassion, Phakchok Rinpoche has designed a year long monthly teaching program that will consist of live 2-day weekend teaching events. The topics and the specific texts were specially chosen by Rinpoche to create a nurturing support system for the students and to further strengthen their knowledge and assimilation on the paths of transformation and realization.
Samye Institute is delighted to announce the launch of our Samye Monthly Teaching series featuring live teachings from our esteemed Khenpos and Druplas.
These monthly teaching events will be held on the weekends, to accommodate the schedules of as many as possible. We also encourage each individual to use these teaching topics as a focus for a contemplative weekend retreat. By integrating the three trainings of listening, contemplating and meditating on each of these core topics over the weekend, one can gain some genuine insight and experience.
The topics for the first 6 of these online teachings will be:
- Mind Training
- Ngondro: Preliminary Practices
- Visualization
- Samaya
- Sang offering
- Chöd Practice
Rinpoche will appoint different Druplas to teach on these topics, and Rinpoche will also teach on selected occasions.
Our first event will take place on August 31 and September 1 at 5:45 pm Nepal time. Check your local time here. The teachings will be 90 minutes on both days.
Khenpo Gyaltsen will give the first teaching in the series. The topic is Lojong, or Mind Training. Khenpo will discuss this crucial topic using a pithy oral instruction manual from the renowned master Dza Patrul Rinpoche.
Phakchok Rinpoche reminds us frequently of the importance of training and taming our minds to achieve transformation and realization. This teaching is thus relevant for students on any pathway.
Translation will be available in Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian and Ukrainian. Please register for these teachings in advance by using the Zoom registration link below. The teachings will also be streamed on YouTube and will remain available for 24 hours. After that time, the recordings will be available for Samye Patrons on the Samye Institute website.
