Samye Malaysia Wesak Day Events
April 22, 2023 – May 4, 2023 SMT
Our friends at Samye Malaysia joyfully announces the arrival of precious teachers to Guru Rinpoche Lhakhang as part of their Wesak Programme.
Vesak or Wesak falls on the full moon day, the 15th day of the lunar month of Vaisakha. In many countries, particularly in the Theravada world, it commemorates the Buddha’s birth, awakening, and death. It is especially meritorious to organize and attend Dharma teachings on such an auspicious occasion.
Tulku Jampa, an incarnation of Chodrub Gyaltshan (renowned meditator) has studied with many great teachers such as Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche and Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. As a respected meditator and knowledgeable Vajrayana ritual master he’s invaluable in preserving the Chokgyur Lingpa tradition.
Drubla Sherab Dorjé from Nubri was ordained by Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche at the age of 12. Having completed 3 years of retreat, he continues to do 60 days of retreat yearly. He teaches all aspects of ritual practices to monks and lay-practitioners.
Teachings will be given in Tibetan with translation into Chinese and English. Lama Jangchub Yeshé will serve as the translator.
