The Four Transformative Thoughts

Phakchok Rinpoche will visit Dharma House NYC, where he will teach on “The Four Transformative Thoughts.”
The Four Transformative Thoughts are also known as the “Four Thoughts That Turn The Mind” (The Four Mind Changings)–turning it away from ordinary samsaric activity toward the Buddhadharma. These four contemplations serve as the outer preliminary practices and the foundation for the Vajrayana path. All great masters of the past and present emphasize repeated reflection on these four points. One contemplates each point until one has developed authentic renunciation, awareness of impermanence, and intention to seek liberation for the benefit of all beings.
