Dear friends near and far
Hello everybody. Happy Guru Rinpoche Day. Now this is my last video in the Guru Rinpoche Day series featuring the Twelve Manifestations of Guru Rinpoche from the Tukdrub Barché Künsel. The last manifestation is called Dechen Gyalpo, meaning King of Great Bliss. In text of Guru Dechen Gyalpo, Guru Rinpoche taught Chö practices to cut through our ego-clinging. He also taught the practice of Mahāmūdra and taught other different ways as well. In the practice of Dechen Gyalpo, Guru Rinpoche especially teaches that it is very important to reduce our ego-clinging.
Now, I just want to say a few things. Number one, our ego-clinging needs to be reduced, that is what Guru Rinpoche taught. We all have this issue of having a very big ego-clinging. The second part I want to share with you is that in life, we have happiness sometimes, but bliss is not there. Bliss is very important. How do we practice bliss? In your heart center, your physical heart, think that Guru Rinpoche is there. In Guru Rinpoche’s body, feel the bliss arising until your whole heart is filled by bliss and then your whole body becomes filled with bliss and clarity. This practice can help you to have bliss.
Now I want to teach you one single mantra for health. This mantra is:
Om nir seng yer bed
[Note: please listen to video to hear the sound of the mantra repeated three times].
Why do I want to teach this? Spiritually, having less ego-clinging means you are happier. On the mental level, blissfulness really makes you happy. Physically, having less diseases makes you really happy. This is the mantra taught in the Tukdrub Barché Künsel by Guru Rinpoche that heals the body without any visualization. Just by the power of the mantra. Please chant this every day, however much you can.
Thank you very much. I send much love and prayers. Now we have finished the Twelve Manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. I hope now you know that our practice of Tukdrub Barché Künsel is very profound. Thank you very much.
Sarva Mangalam,
Phakchok Rinpoche
